Digital Inking involves a raw pencil sketch (either supplied by the customer or produced in-house) being scanned and imported into digital editing software. The drawing is then reconstructed line for line, and a new, "cleaner" image with precise lines is generated for use, either on its own as a logo or sample of lineart, or as the basis for further shading / CG coloring. Inking is a time-consuming process that takes a great deal of patience. |
